Released in August 1966, ‘Revolver’ was the band’s final album before they announced their retirement from live performances. This decision to step away from live concerts therefore produced arguably the most innovative Beatles album; ‘Revolver’ introduced the world to the minds, interests and social views behind the most popular band of the era.
